This User Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and LBC Mundial Corporation and its affiliated licensed entities ("LBC," "we," "us," or "our"). It governs your access to and use of the myLBC mobile application, the website at mylbc.app, and the cargo and money remittance services we provide (collectively, the "Services").
LBC Mundial Corporation is a California corporation with headquarters at 14340 Catalina Street, San Leandro, CA 94577. We are a registered Money Services Business with FinCEN (MSB #31000286118865, NMLS #1550435) and a licensed money transmitter in California, Virginia, Oregon, Hawaii, Washington, New Jersey, and Nevada. State license numbers are listed in our State Disclosures.
To use the Services, you must:
Money remittance is available only to residents of California, Virginia, Oregon, Hawaii, Washington, New Jersey, and Nevada. Cargo services are available throughout the United States.
You may register using your email address or by signing in with Facebook. Facebook Login is subject to Meta's own terms; we are not responsible for Facebook's services.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, all activity under your account, and notifying us immediately at fraud@lbcusa.net if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may have only one myLBC account. Opening multiple accounts to circumvent limits or compliance controls is prohibited.
You must keep your account information accurate and up to date. Notify us promptly of any changes to your name, address, phone, email, or identification documents.
Federal and state law require us to verify your identity before you can use money remittance. You agree to provide:
We use Signzy as our identity verification provider. Your ID images and biometric data are processed by Signzy on our behalf, in compliance with applicable biometric privacy laws. We may decline to open an account, suspend your account, or refuse transactions if we cannot verify your identity, suspect fraud, or if you appear on a sanctions list.
You may use myLBC to schedule pickups and ship cargo (including balikbayan boxes) to international destinations by air or sea. By booking, you warrant that you are the rightful owner or authorized by the owner, that you have accurately declared contents, dimensions, and weight, that the shipment contains no prohibited items, and that contents comply with U.S. export and destination-country import laws.
You may not ship: firearms, ammunition, explosives; flammable or hazardous chemicals; illegal drugs or controlled substances; cash, checks, or negotiable instruments; perishable food items not properly packaged; live animals restricted by USDA; counterfeit goods; human remains; restricted cultural artifacts; or lithium batteries not compliant with IATA/IMDG regulations.
The complete prohibited items list is available at mylbc.app/prohibited-items. We reserve the right to refuse, inspect, dispose of, or report any shipment containing prohibited items.
Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees. Our liability for lost or damaged cargo is limited as set forth in the cargo shipping terms presented to you at booking, which are incorporated into this Agreement.
You must provide accurate recipient information: full legal name, address, phone number, and (depending on disbursement method) bank account, GCash wallet, or pickup location. You are responsible for the accuracy of recipient information; we are not liable for delays or failures caused by inaccurate or incomplete information.
Your recipient may receive funds via: Philippine bank deposit, GCash mobile wallet, cash pickup at an authorized location, or door-to-door delivery (select areas). Availability depends on the recipient's location.
We impose per-transaction, daily, monthly, and lifetime limits based on your verified identity tier, destination, and our risk assessment. Current limits are displayed in the app.
We may delay, hold, refuse, reverse, or cancel transactions when we suspect fraud or unauthorized activity, a sanctions match or compliance review is triggered, we are required to do so by law or court order, you provided incorrect information, or the recipient bank cannot process the transaction. We will notify you when we hold or refuse a transaction, unless legally prohibited.
All fees and the applicable exchange rate are disclosed before you confirm any transaction. Exchange rates may include a margin over the wholesale rate. The rate is locked when you authorize the transaction.
Remittance payments are processed through TabaPay. Cargo payments are processed through Tunel. By authorizing a transaction you authorize the applicable processor to debit your selected payment method. If your payment is returned or declined, we may reverse the transaction and charge a returned-payment fee where permitted by law and disclosed in advance.
To cancel: tap "Cancel" on the transaction in the app, or call 800-338-5424 immediately. Have your Transaction Reference Number from your receipt ready.
If you believe there has been an error with your remittance, you have 180 days from the scheduled delivery date to notify us. Contact disputes@lbcusa.net or call 800-338-5424 with your name, Transaction Reference Number, transfer amount, and a description of the error. We will investigate and determine whether an error occurred within 90 days. If we find an error, we will correct it within one business day as required by 12 CFR § 1005.33.
You agree not to use the Services for money laundering, terrorism financing, tax evasion, sanctions evasion, or fraud; use the Services on behalf of another person without disclosing that fact; provide false, inaccurate, or stolen information; send money to or from sanctioned persons or countries; ship prohibited items; engage in chargeback fraud or transaction reversal abuse; open more than one account; attempt to circumvent limits or compliance controls; interfere with or compromise the security of the Services; use automated tools to access the Services; or violate any applicable law or the rights of others.
By providing your phone number, you authorize us and our service providers (including Twilio) to contact you at that number for transactional purposes — including verification codes, transaction confirmations, fraud alerts, and account notifications — using automated systems and SMS. Standard message and data rates may apply.
If you opt in to marketing, we may send promotional SMS/MMS messages. Opt out at any time by replying STOP to any marketing message. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional or service messages.
The myLBC app, mylbc.app, the LBC logo, and all related content, software, designs, and trademarks are owned by LBC Mundial Corporation or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works based on the Services.
The Services rely on or integrate with: Meta Platforms (Facebook Login), Google Firebase (auth, push notifications, crash reporting), Signzy (identity verification), TabaPay (remittance payments), Tunel (cargo payments), Twilio (SMS/MMS), SendGrid (email), ipstack (IP address geolocation for licensing compliance), and Apple/Google as app distribution platforms. Your use of features provided by these third parties may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party providers' acts or omissions, except as required by law.
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN THIS AGREEMENT, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LBC MUNDIAL CORPORATION AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS UNDER THIS AGREEMENT IN ANY 12-MONTH PERIOD WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID TO LBC IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) $500.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including our obligations under Regulation E and the Remittance Transfer Rule.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LBC Mundial Corporation and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of: (a) your use or misuse of the Services; (b) your breach of this Agreement; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right; or (d) inaccurate information you provide to us.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account at any time if we believe in good faith that you have violated this Agreement or applicable law, your account presents a fraud, security, or compliance risk, we are required to do so by law or government order, or continued service would expose us to legal or financial liability. We will notify you of the action and the general reason, unless prohibited by law.
You may close your account at any time. See our Close My Profile page for instructions. Sections of this Agreement that by their nature should survive termination (limitations of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and ownership) will survive.
Before filing a formal claim, you agree to first contact us at disputes@lbcusa.net and give us at least 60 days to try to resolve the dispute informally.
Except for small claims court disputes and Regulation E error-resolution disputes (which you may pursue without arbitration), any dispute arising out of or related to this Agreement or the Services will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS or the AAA under their applicable consumer arbitration rules. LBC pays arbitration fees for claims of $10,000 or less.
YOU AND LBC EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, CLASS ARBITRATION, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. If a court finds this waiver unenforceable, the entire arbitration agreement will be void.
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days after first accepting this Agreement by emailing disputes@lbcusa.net with subject "Arbitration Opt-Out," your full name, account email, and a statement that you reject the arbitration provision.
This Agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and the laws of the State of California (without regard to conflict-of-laws principles), except where preempted by federal law. The laws of your state of residence may also apply to your money transmission transactions.
State license numbers, complaint procedures, and required statutory language are in our State Disclosures, incorporated into this Agreement by reference. State-mandated disclosures are also presented at the time of each remittance transaction.
If you downloaded myLBC from the Apple App Store or Google Play: this Agreement is between you and LBC Mundial Corporation — not Apple or Google. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the Services. Apple and Google are not responsible for product liability claims, legal compliance claims, or intellectual property claims. Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement and may enforce its terms against you.
When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app, by email, or by prominent notice on mylbc.app, at least 30 days before changes take effect (unless a shorter period is required by law or to address a security issue). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
